Q: Do you make your chocolate?
A: We are not a bean to bar operation. We purchase all our chocolate from Guittard Chocolate; a California based company that has been in business since 1868. https://www.guittard.com/
“Through five generations of leadership in the industry, we’ve created a collaborative culture where honorably sourced ingredients and strong relationships contribute to expertly crafted, high-quality chocolate. It’s something we’ve done since 1868.
Our craft is as much about making beautifully tasting chocolate as it is about supporting the people and preserving the places behind what we make. As the fifth generation joins the company, we continue to find ways to support, explore and grow with our extended family of customers, co-workers, farmers and suppliers.” With a precise palate and a commitment to the chocolate craft, we have made the world’s best chocolate for five generations. We select single origins for their exclusive flavors and attributes and customize blends and formulas to deliver a premium chocolate experience.” Guittard Chocolate

ALLERGENS IN OUR PRODUCTS
Right now, we work out of our home kitchen, so we cannot control allergen cross exposure. Check the labels of our products for ingredient sensitivity. Having said that all our products are gluten free and soy free. Many are nut and peanut free (See Labels). If you have additional questions about product ingredients, feel free to Contact Us!
Q: Are your products certified organic?
A: Only our Organic Peanut Butter BonBon is made with all organic ingredients. We do make our best efforts to use primarily organic ingredients in all our other products.
Q: Why do your bonbons and ganache filled bars have such a short shelf life?
A: We do not add specific preservatives or additives to prolong shelf life which can change flavor and texture. For the best taste possible eat our bonbons within the first week or no later than expiration date. For our bars and caramel-only items see expiration date.
Q: Can I put my chocolate in the refrigerator?
A: Refrigeration is not recommended. This can create moisture condensation on the chocolate surface creating white spots or streaks in the chocolate (called blooming). For best results, store chocolates and confections at or just below room temperature (60-73° F).
Q: What is your return policy?
A: At A & S Artisan Chocolate we stand behind everything we make and guarantee that our chocolates leave our kitchen in peak condition. Due to the perishable nature of our product, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for items that are not damaged or defective. If, for some reason, you receive an extremely damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately. We will be happy to replace items or to refund your original purchase price. Since we do not ship products ourselves, we cannot be responsible for items that you ship after you purchase from us.
